Re: Oil be alright...
Not sure what you can get where you are, but I run non-synthetic Rotella T diesel oil. Been running it on my new engine after break in, and I think its just fine! Did a bunch of research before picking, and the best part is its cheap and plentiful! New engine, so I did add some ZDDP additive, but I ...

Re: what hoses for S-10 calipers?
I don't know either, but to play it safe, I would use S10 hoses, and try to find an adapter to the corvair brake line.

Re: Couldn't find anything, I swear!!
Hi, I'm back again. I plan on ordering a set of Minilite wheels in 15x7 and 15x8. Since they will be new, I get to pick the backspacing. I plan on 205/60-15, and 225/50-15. I don't want it to rub, no matter what! What would be the PERFECT backspacing?

Best Suspension Setup?
Hey everyone, I'm getting ready to tear down my Corsa for the final restoration, and I was wondering what can be done to the suspension, in order to get handling as good as possible? I don't want to do cutting, or welding, because I would like everything to have the possibility of being brought back ...

Re: Problem with sticking acceleration
This same thing happened to me. After rebuilding the ENTIRE linkage, and lubing it a million times, I found out that the pivot into the transmission was SLIGHTLY bent, and was catching ever so slightly. replaced it, and no problems since then. Good luck. EDIT: It would stick when slowly letting the ...

That is exactly what ended up with mine. Too worn to pump enough oil at idle! Plus mine had a bunch of other problems. Good luck with the rebuild!

right now, i'm only running the top shrouds, no overheating here. Some say they remove the bottom shrouds in the summer to help cool even more

Re: New to corvair
I always order parts from Clarks Corvair (am I allowed to post links?) when I have big orders, but when they're small and I want them quick, I call Jeff Williams from California Corvair. He is about an hour away from me, so I get it next day. Depending on where you live, there may be a supplier near ...

Re: New to corvair
By a dead spot, do you mean you give it gas, and it revvs, stops, then revvs again a second later? That happened to my friend's '66 mustang, and he was told it was the accelerator pump.

Re: Couldn't find anything, I swear!!
I don't plan on going ridiculous, I was told 205/60-15 was about the same as stock! In the rears, I'd like a 225/50-15, just to lower my freeway RPMs and have a little bit more meat. According to most I've read, that's not pushing the boundaries. I just want to know if le vair's kit changes ...

Re: Couldn't find anything, I swear!!
Thank you for commenting. I don't plan on going too much different than stock on tire size, I just would like bigger wheels (tire availability), as well as discs. I guess I need some opinions. Has anyone done the S10 swap? How did it affect your steering geometry?
