Thanks much all worked well and got it to Gettysburg pa in one piece.cnicol wrote:Yes, that's about right. If you decide to cross the rear (more secure on rough road surfaces), place your tie-back loops near the differential. (They'll slide to the center and loosen if you start with them tied outboard.)

Strapping down to a flat bed
Hi everyone
Tomorrow morning I am strapping my 65 convertible to an auto flat bed. From what I am reading on line 4 straps crossed or not back is looped around the rear strut rods and the front is looped around the lower control arm. Does that sound right to you?

Re: Carter YH Vacuum Port?
Ok so I checked the vacumm by pulling the line to the a/r it was low around 15 and shaky. No matter how I dialed the fuel mix and idle. The best I can do is get it to be pretty stable at the 15. When I rev and let go it jumps from 0 to 22 and then back the 15. From what I see on line that say bad ...

Carter YH Vacuum Port?
Hi everyone,
I had a good day above and below the car, she is sounding great. I am looking to fine tune the fuel/air mixture on the carb more then just by ear. I have the RPMs at the 850 or so and it sounds fine, but I wanted to hook up a vacuum/pressure gauge and I am not sure if there is a place ...

Re: 12v keyed source please just point.
I think he meant when the key is in the on position not the starting position. :dontknow:
Correct. The instructions say tap into a keyed 12v supply. I have been trying to find one with the multimeter and shop/assembly manuals. But no luck figuring which one would work. I was hoping someone already ...

Re: Adding electric choke fuel line question
Typically, an electric choke is simply wired to the ignition circuit (before the resistor wire) by tapping into the ignition circuit just forward of the multi cavity connector at the left front corner of the engine compartment.
This sounds easier. How can I identify the wire? What is the best way ...

Re: Adding electric choke fuel line question
Or would it be better/easier to just add a relay (is there a specific type) from the positive attached to the generator? In looking the ps64 looks like it has a longer stem

Adding electric choke fuel line question
Hi everyone. I am planning to add an electric choke from clarks this weekend. I am doing so per all the guidance I found in old threads. I will run a fused line 20a from the bat terminal on the generator to a new oil pressure switch PS64. My question is this and forgive me if I am wrong on what ...

Re: What is that knocking?? HELP!

Setting Timing Right
Hi everyone,
So i just bought and installed the new A/R from Clarks. They told me conflicting info regarding timing first as per the website 18 with the tube pulled and plugged

Re: Really dumb question re fluids
Guys another question so I just changed my oil snd pan so it is clean and new, no leaks. However I have dark oil dripping from the bellhousing.
1) I assume this is the gear oil that goes in the transmission and axel, right?
2) Is there a difference in the phrase rear main seal leak and bellhousing ...
