Re: disc brake conversion
My kit is listed in the parts for sale section of this Forum. I have installed close to 20 kits here in my shop it is a very easy conversion and it doesn't have any effect on the Speedo cable. The new rotor slips on over the factory wheel hub. The hub must have the outside diameter turned down ...

Re: Mysterious Violent Vibration
If the Car is a Manual transmission the problem is in the clutch assembly.. most likely the Flywheel to be exact. I have had a customer car that shook so badly that the shaking cracked the bell housing. Installed a new balanced flywheel along with a new pressure plate and a bell housing and it ran ...

Re: Four barrel manifold
The main reason some people run them is that they don't know how to properly adjust and balance 4 individual carbs. Bolting on a center mount make the adjustments easier by only having one carb to adjust. The other big problem is that most people that install them put to large of a carb on them. The ...

Re: Pulling through 4000RPM
I have read through your symptons and If your car was in my shop I would tackle all of the small items first to make sure they are not the problem. First Dwell .. Set it to 32 deg at static idle then get something to pressurize the retard unit and make sure the dwell doesn't change... I have seen ...

Re: my automatic shifts to quick
You have to fix the broken e clip it is located in the valve body. You will need the e clip, transmission pan gasket, and both valve body gaskets. The valve body plate is held on with some clutch drive screws. If you don't have the special bit for these you can usually get them out with some other ...

Re: 140 hop up help needed
The Headers didn't help much b/c the problem with the exhaust lies in the port and tube design. The exhaust is required to make a 90 deg bend as it hts the port then it is restricted by the tube having a notch in it for clearance of the head stud. The trick thing to do is have the heads angle ported ...

Re: SPU road race car build
Yes the engine is running a Crank trigger ignition system. I'm using an Electromotive unit. The main reason for the dist is to run the oil pump. I was going to make a custom plug with a bearing located in it to hold the shaft. This would make a nice clean appearance. But I decided to run a regular ...

Re: Cam Choice
A Isky 280 cam will do just fine on the street. The OT20 that had been suggested to you is almost the same specs as an Isky 280. I install a cam very similar to the Isky 280 in all of the stock / mild performance engines I build. I think you will like the way the Isky 280 cam wakes up the 140 engine ...

Re: 16 inch IROC wheels
I have 16 inch Irocs on my street car. You must install the rims marked front on the rear and vice versa... This is due to the backspacing. Tire size you need depends on ride height. I lower my cars drastically. I run 205 40 16 in the front with 225 50 16 in the rear. I work in the Tire business and ...
