Thanks for the fast information, I was concerned because the wire from the sensor is split into two wires with plug in connectors on each end

I replaced the heads on my.140 motor and they didn't have any temp sensors in them my motor only has.wiring on one side for a sensor, is that normal or do.I need to put another sensor in the.other head and run a wire from the other sensor to it?

Does a corvair 140 have two head temp sensors, I only see wiring for one sensor, I replaced the heads and they didn't have any sensors in them

I just rebuilt my 140 motor and had to replace the heads because of dropped valve seats , the heads didn't have any temp sensors in them, my question is is there a difference in the right and left.head temp sensors?

I have the motor out of my car and have re sealed the push for tubes, now I would like to replace the crank seals, how hard is this to do?

I am putting my 140 motor back together and have been having a problem with the lol pan bolts stripping , I have had to put in 5 heli coils the books say to torque at 100 inch pounds , is this the right torque?

Thanks for the information, I restored this 65 convertible from the ground up and presently rebuilding the motor, and having the powerglide being rebuilt, I have to replace the converter because the starter ring gear had some bad teeth, I purchased a used one and I hope it is ok

They are the original pistons, the motor has 72,000 on it the two i need to replace were damaged by the valves hitting them

Rebuilding motor

I have my 65, 140 motor tore down, since Clark's is closed is there any place else where i can get the parts i need to rebuild my motor? I need two pistons plus rings, rod bearings and a complete gasket set

I am reparing my 140 motor because of dropped valve seats and I am going to replace the rings and rod bearings while I have it out of the car, my question is how hard is it to replace the crank seals without splitting the case?
