Re: GPS Speedometer
I have a GPS speedo in my '65 Corsa turbo. I swapped all stock gauges out for digital ones. I'm using Seth's bracket. Like you, my stock speedo wasn't accurate. I tried to get it repaired - still didn't work right. I ended up with a Summit racing GPS speedo and sender. https://www.summitracing.com/p...

EDIS is just an ignition system. The map you load determines the timing. I installed an EDIS system on my '66 turbo. If you want to see how that was done, I wrote a white paper on it: http://www.cincotek.com/Corvair/Corvair%20EDIS%20Ignition%20Conversion.pdf I also posted a short movie of my first a...

Re: Time sert head stud problems
There is an interesting comment from a member on the other forum regarding this problem. I've copied it below: Re: Ugh. Insert Failure Bad Posted by: 66vairman () Date: August 19, 2020 05:00PM I see one problem. The insert is a solid steel unit, possibly a Time Sert. Notice the head stud, about four...

Transmission / Diffy Oil, redux...
A member on the other forum posted an update to his white paper on what's good & what's bad regarding transmission and differential oil.
I thought the members here might like to read up on that: http://corvaircenter.com/phorum/read.php?1,1073996

Re: 65 vs 66 4 speed
Ahh, based on what Ted and Dave related, I'm glad I didn't do this conversion. I believe a previous owner swapped the turbo engine, diff and 4 speed trans from a wrecked 66 Corsa into his 65 Corsa - that I eventually ended up owning...
