64, 110, no fuel is being pumped.
I can suck fuel so the fuel is available.
Should I go electric (if so which?) or go for a used pump?
Thanks

Odd backfire
My 64 110 4 speed will backfire through the driver-side carburetor while ascending a grade AND slightly letting OFF on the gas. I checked for vacuum leaks by spraying carb fluid and did not get any "hits". Got any ideas? Other than this, good. note might occasionally backfire under other c...

Backfire
I am getting an occasional backfire on the driver's side mostly during acceleration only. I am very certain that the timing is correct. The backfire affects significantly the performance. Is there any other cause except valve adjustment? The backfire is not consistent, but often. The backfire occurs...

Passenger side runs HOT!
The passenger side of my 64 110 runs very hot. The indicator light comes on after only 2-3 min of running. I pulled the upper shroud and found a few blockages, removed them. Also I did not replace the shield between the cylinders and pushrod tubes (thinking it would run cooler). Also left off the bo...

cold valve adjustment
I followed the book and turned an additional 3/4 turn after the "play" was removed.
My problem is I am getting a backfire now.
Did I turn in too much? not enough?
Thanks.

Re: Fuel gauge always reads empty 64,110
Power and grounded, empty.
Power and not grounded, full.
If battery is disconnected when reading full, gauge continues to read full.
How to unstick if stuck?
Time to replace?
Method of emptying the tank?

Fuel gauge always reads empty 64,110
My fuel gauge always reads empty. If I disconnect the lead at the tank the gauge then reads full. I am quite certain i have a good ground at the tank as i used sandpaper on the leads. What now? 1964, 110hp
Thanks

Re: Timing procedure 64, 110
Thanks for the great and useful response. I will look to connect with a corsa club. My corvair seems to run hot (the pressure/temp gage comes on after 15 min of driving) and it feels hotter than I think it should be. I was hoping my timing was off, but it is at 16 degrees. Any other reason as to the...

Re: Timing procedure 64, 110
OK, thanks, what should the timing be with the vacuum hose disconnected from the distributer?

Timing procedure 64, 110
When timing my 64, manual transmission, 110
do I disconnect and plug the vacuum advance?
Also, set at what timing?
I will probably be running regular gas most of the time.
Thanks

Alternater rebuild not happening
My 64 was converted to an alternater. All was fine until it wasn't...haha Stopped charging. I replaced all the components of the alternater, brushes, circuit board, bushing, everything. But still no charge. Where shall I look? I do not know what had to be done when the conversion took place. Maybe s...
