NEW Gas Tank and Dual Master Cylinder, wheel cylinders, brakes, hoses and brake lines.

Bill had moved from where this install was done and then the Van sat garaged. It Never had gas or brake fluid put into it since the tank install.
In 2016 Bill pulled the motor, and trans to reseal it and refresh the shrouding as mice made a home in the engine and heater box. Then it sat garaged again.
Two weeks ago we started work on it.

First thing we did was clean up the mouse nest on the engine over #6 cylinder and remove the heater box and REPLACED IT with one from the Corvair Ranch.

Bill writes;
After college I started to do a driver restoration and upgrades in the late 80's early 90's. All the old paint was stripped off down to bare metal prior to painting. The engine (original VB block) was pulled and rebuilt with new forged pistons (+0.030?), new cam, main and rod bearings and crank, rods, pistons, flywheel pressure plate were sent out for balancing as well. This was by far the smoothest running Corvair engine I'd ever seen short of a race motor.
The dog legs have NO rust. The body on this Van is Very straight and only has a rust hole on the left rear panel near the battery as seen in one of the pictures below.
OH Yeah. It has a NEW Battery in it!
Check out the pictures and if interested I can give you Bill's contact info.
He is moving again and has no room for it. WELL Worth the price. Spyder dash installed and he does have the glove box door also.
Must Go price is $5900.00

I went to Bill's home in Damascus MD. two weeks ago and spent a few hours visiting with him and Mark while assisting some with some of the work I was able to accomplish while there. (it wasn't much though).

There is some surface rust in a couple places and a few other issues that should be dealt with like the area below the battery box but, the van is in my opinion well priced for what it is.

This van would make a decent driver for someone that wants something serviceable enough to use while attending to what would need done to get it back to it's former glory. Take a look at the customized front Grille, it is well done.

NOTES:
I did see the Jr West Coast Mirror pieces and the rear grille inside the van. The front seat will need recovered but in the mean time, I saw a new generic seat cover in a box that should work until that gets done. The windshield appeared to be in good condition. IF I were in the market for a panel van, this one would no longer be available.
