I just sold my 65 Monza Conv. and in its replacement, I've been eyeing an EM Conv. Spyder. I came across this one on Hemmings and it is close enough for me to go inspect the car before purchase, however, I was just wondering if anyone in the area/Corvair world knows of the car. I know it's a longshot but figured I'd throw it out there, thanks.

You might consider contacting one of the CORSA club chapters in eastern Pennsylvania to inquire about this car. The local CORSA club chapter may have members who are familiar with it.

Thanks Brad, I've reached out to the local PA chapter and hopefully will get some additional info.

On another note I received a picture of the body tag and the engine number and from what I gather, the car is a legitimate spyder but the engine has me stumped - '65 110 / PG??

That tells you that someone has replaced the engine at some point. No way to tell if they used the entire bottom end from the PG car or not without taking it apart. That would seriously reduce the value in my opinion. The turbo blocks aren't anything special but the '63 turbo rods were stronger and the crank was nitrided. If you could get the head numbers you would find out if they are turbo heads. It could be a complete PG 110 engine with the turbo bolted on.

NOTE: This could be a good thing. The 110hp engine has decent performance, better gas mileage, and a good reputation for reliability.
