Re: 140 hop up help needed

Got some answers for you guys, thanks for the replies =) First off it's important to know (though most of you will disapprove!) that this car is mostly for daily driving and cruise-ins... so looks, sound, and reliability are very high on the list of priorities. In that respect I'm happy with the car...

140 hop up help needed

Hello folks, I'm hoping for some feedback and evaluation of the hot-rodded 140 in my Corsa coupe. My 140 has forged pistons, a 280 Isky Cam, Pertronix 2 and flamethrower coil, mildly ported heads with the step machined out, mildly modded carbs, and high flow mufflers on stock manifolds and down pipe...

Re: LM's with aftermarket wheels

Don't have the measurements, tire sizes, or even the make/model of the wheels handy... but at least the pics will add to the variety. If anyone wants details PM me for them. I'll try to remember to add the basic info when I get a chance. The center's say ELITE wheels, I bought them used. These are 1...

Re: My past and present vairs

Thanks =) It is just the factory molding on the rocker. The red 66' is the Corvair I wanted from the moment I learned about Corsa's and four carb vair engines =). Quite a few years later but I'm driving the dream!.. ..not that I'm going to stop there. Once the 63 daily driver (for my girl) is done I...

and also my "geek lair"!! Triple 28" monitors on a fairly powerful gaming PC built by yours truly  The triple monitors act as a single desktop in windows to give me lots of space for multitasking... I can have CorvairForum.com on one screen, Corvaircenter.com on another, and my ...

Re: POST PHOTOS OF YOUR MAN CAVE OR HIDE OUT

I'm only just now moving into my new man cave, I hope to set it up really nice eventually =). This is a huge upgrade for me, up till now I've been working in my fathers basement which really is a cave... hardly any light.. dark and dingy... this is a MAJOR upgrade for me and I'm very excited. The on...

Re: What other cool cars/bikes do you have/have you had?

Before becoming a Corvair nut I was a Fiero nut. It seems a lot of Corvair guys have had a bit of a fascination with GM's other orphan car as well! I had 5 drivable fiero's and a parts car over the years. The last was a rare factory yellow 88' Formula, I'll attach a pic. I also had a red 86' GT, the...

Re: Corvair of the Month February 2011

Thanks for the compliments guys, this car was my dream since I learned about Corsa's nearly 10 years ago..... last year I finally got to live the dream =). I bought this car in decent shape but with rough paint, shoddy engine room, bad pilot bushing, and needing a major cleaning and tune-up. I learn...

Re: 66 Monza Restoration project!

Hello Matt! Welcome to the Corvair community =). You will find that the Corvair is a GREAT hobby car. There is a lot of support out there, tons of great people, a fantastic National club (CORSA), and many local clubs. The Corvair has a LOT of great history surrounding it too... made all the more fun...

Re: LM vs. EM Debate.

I'd like to add: I think all antique cars need a wheel and tire upgrade to look the way I think they should... but earlies need it even more than lates do! I think maybe that's what changed my mind and made me start liking the earlies.... finally seeing some with nice wide wheels and tires... earlie...

Re: LM vs. EM Debate.

I started off liking only lates, but the earlies have grown on me and I'm just wrapping up the restoration of my first early... a 63 monza coupe with a 102/pg... Maybe I'll report back once I get to actually drive an early for a bit! So nowadays I like both flavors, and I intend to maintain at least...

Greetings from Ray "Grymm" Rodriguez III

Hello all. I'm 30 years old this past May and have been into Corvairs for about 9 years now. I currently own my third, fifth, and sixth Corvairs. My stable contains my (pretty darn nice) daily driver 66' Corsa 140 coupe (red on black), a recently aquired 63' Monza 102/PG coupe (white on red) that sa...
