Poll, let's get real
Haven't posted in a while, so Hello all! My question is do Corvairs have to leak? And do they have to spew bad smells when the heater is on? The two are not necessarily related so.... But it seems like plugging holes in a barrel when it comes to oil leaks on my 64 with a 68, 140. And I don't think ...

Wanna see the rest of the car? It's just as bad.

Re: ARTICLE: IS THE CHEVY CORVAIR CONSIDERED A 'CLASSIC,' AND HOW MUCH IS ONE WORTH TODAY?
Theres a 64out on the Jemez Indian reservation that is pretty strait and complete. It sits back in a field going to waste. The engine has a serious pile of dirt right on top of it. My guess a pack rat. In any event the owner wouldn't give me a price so I offered 700. Whatever. He seemed insulted ...

Re: ARTICLE: IS THE CHEVY CORVAIR CONSIDERED A 'CLASSIC,' AND HOW MUCH IS ONE WORTH TODAY?

If people could share honestly what they paid and sold for. ......maybe we'd have an understanding. IDK I know one thing, I was watching a video about the ...

Re: ARTICLE: IS THE CHEVY CORVAIR CONSIDERED A 'CLASSIC,' AND HOW MUCH IS ONE WORTH TODAY?
Judging by the amount of comments I get on my car, I think it's a classic. And man are there some great lines in this posting. Reading about Corvairs IS fun, but not as fun as driving them. And ....and porche is a rich man's Corvair. These are classics!!! I never liked the comparison to the Beetle ...

I scratched my windshield trying to scrape the ice off of it. DONT ASK WHAT I USED! The fact is the scratches arent that deep but they are there. I tried using a rubbing compound but it didnt work. Is there a difference between the windshield polish stuff and regular rubbing compound. No damage was ...

Re: Paranoid Starter Question
As far as posting that it seems to do it in the morning. I posted that for a reason. BUT, everything is clean. But, full disclosure, the cable to the starter was lose at the starter. But I tightened it. It still does it. Maybe less.

Re: Paranoid Starter Question
That's hilarious, using the trash bin as a work bench. I've actually seen that before when my friend rebuilt his old Subaru engine in his front yard. Man THAT was third world but that car still runs today.
