Thanks for the great information. I am mainly concerned about finding new drums and stuff. Am I correct in thinking that all the brake stuff with the exception of Drums can be found new? Shoes rebuilt kits, etc....
Thanks again

Changing the hubs(?)
I have a 64 Monza 900 with 4 bolt wheels. What kinds of things/headaches are involved to change to different hubs(?). I want to be able to find brake parts etc. I want to change to 5 bolt 14/15 inch wheels. I am not that versed yet with corvairs.
Thanks
Rob
Thanks

Re: Brake Drums - 1964 Monza Vert
Thank you
It is as I thought. I was planning on turning mine or buying used. I just thought I would float it out here. I appreciate your feedback.

Brake Drums - 1964 Monza Vert
I have a question and I am not sure if this is the correct place to post.
Are there drums from other cars that are interchangeable for a 64 Monza? I know other cars use the 4 X 4.5 pattern. I am going to do a complete brake job and I would prefer to find new drums. used turnable ones can be had but ...

Re: A guide to body tag decoding resources on the web
I wiped off the tag on my block this morning and this is what I found.
T 0 I I 3 7 P
I can't seem to find any info. I was careful and I think I copied it correctly.
Does it make any sense?

64 Monza with a PG
I am thinking about converting my auto to a 4-speed manual. I know it is feasible but is it prudent? I do prefer a manual tranny. One reason is that my corvair is kinda sluggish with the little 2 speed auto. I think I would enjoy the manual and get a bit better performance.
My question is this ...

Refurbish Steering Wheel and dash
I have a '64 Monza convertible and my steering wheel is ini great shape but has a couple of chipped areas of paint or coating. I would like to remove the original coating and re-do it. Is it powdercoating or paint? Would sand-blasting work? Also what do you do with the small chrome circles on the ...
