Wow I didn’t know that was a bot. Crazy.
What’s the benefit of bots answering questions on here ? Is there people creating accounts then setting up some bot with the credentials ?

Re: One headlight dim
Thank you everyone. Does anyone have a pic of the new wire they attached for ground to the headlight bucket ? Do you mean to the wire harness on the back of the bulb or the actual steel bucket the lamp sits in ?

Re: VENMO - Anyone using, problems to report?
I use Venmo all the time. My tenants pay rent with it, I give money to my kids with it, never had an issue and it works great. There is no protection if you send money to someone there is no way to get it back , same goes if someone sends you money , they cannot reverse it or charge back. When it’s ...

Re: Tire recommendations ?
I ended up getting the recommended Maxxis MA-1 Performance P185/80R13 90S , ordered from Walmart, they were shipped and arrived in 2 days.
Monroe put them on and got a fresh NYS inspection since the old tires were from 2001 and pretty dry rotted.

Steering Shaft rubbing
We recently did an alignment on the 62 monza which worked great. We had to adjust the steering box to get the wheel straight because the last owner that installed the steering box did not line up the steering wheel.
After it was done, the alignment is good now, but I noticed a little grinding when ...

Tire recommendations ?
I have the 175 80r13's on the 62 monza conv.
Would love to go up a little but not sure what would fit on the same wheels, I dont want to have to buy all new wheels and tires.
Has anyone upgraded to larger tires on these stock wheels without any rubbing issues ?
Thanks,
Vic

Throttle return spring - sticky gas pedal
The 62 had a sticky gas pedal since I got it.
I bought a new return spring which helped but didn’t fix it completely.
Took apart the full linkage , cleaned and greased everything. That helped but it was still sticky.
Ended up making this.
It’s just a 3$ screen door spring from tractor supply ...

Re: Just wanted to say thanks - 62 Monza
There’s a lot of jokes from the older fellas, the one I heard the most is , i bet it’s easy to get parts since nobody wants one.
It’s all fun.

Re: Conflicting plug gap size
Everything is fixed now , between the plugs (yes the gap change made a difference) then we just adjusted the timing and then adjusted and synced the carbs, and now she runs like a dream

Re: Conflicting plug gap size
see what I mean. its definitely conflicting info. I set it to .032 and it seems to be running good. Eventually I'll bump it .035 and see what that does. I know that at the plugs pre-gap .028 it ran like crap.

Re: Conflicting plug gap size
Thanks. Well, I will tell you, Im learning with these cars, small stuff counts. I was having some rough running, popping carb issues after putting in a new cap and rotor, new plugs, and new wires.
