Tunes in your Corvair
Looking to see what you guys use for radios in your Corvair's. I really am against hacking up the dash of any car but like all the modern do-dad's CD's Mp3 etc. so what are you all using?

Universal underdash mount brackets are available to accommodate todays 2x7 DIN format radio chassis. You simply mount the bracket under the dash or in the case of a early model under the current radio bracket. I have used a number of different CD players over the years I tend to like Kenwoods a lot. I also have made dash mods to a couple cars to build in a metal 2x7 opening in the current late model radio spot. A few photos of some tunes in vairs. Both of these systems were bi-amplified using 1 or 2 10" subwoofers, Tri or Bi-separate R=L front speakers, and co-axial R+L rear speakers mounted in the sides of the Subwoofer enclosures.
Corvair guy since 1982. I have personally restored at least 20 Vairs, many of them restored ground up.

To try to keep as stock a look as possible I used this company.
http://www.classiccarstereos.com/catego ... Radio.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The radio I chose was the 630 and added the optional BlueTooth option. When it's turned off it's hard to tell it from the original. I changed out the under dash speaker for a similar size dual horn option and then installed 2 Kenwood speakers in the back sunk into a piece of 1/4 inch particle board covered in black carpet that took the place of the original Cardboard covering the "parcel shelf"
