Here is my corvair. I drive this car to my college classes any time I can. The car is a driver and if it breaks I fix it.
hope you like the modern hot-rod look I did to attract new interest to the corvairs.

I started the rebuild with the engine-
heads are 140 that I port and polished with a DA and lots of time getting the burs and such in the intake.
block has been cleaned and oil passages are all cleaned free flowing for good oil return
installed a high volume oil pump from clarks and otto oil pan.
bore- .030mm
cam- Otto's TB-30

I then started on the fuel system
decided to install a fuel injection system from Accel- Accel's Gen 7 Digital engine management set-up
I opted for a throttle body fuel injection set-up to get the engine running.
wideband O2 sensor
accel 6A DFi electronic ignition box

the front end is custom 2 inch drop spindles with disk brakes.

paint is a flat PPG that is mixed to be a satin gloss which brings out the colors and the purls.

my dad brother and I are the mechanics and craftsmen and painters behind this corvair.

this is the corvair with the new Monte- Carlo drop spindles installed. with disk brakes.

Well we're all hedging our bets, but you never know Skain could rally any minute and blow us all outer the water!
Whatever happens it's all in fun...enjoy!

Skrain, better luck this time. I like your '64. I traded a '64 for the '66.

Traded it in 1966 for the Corvair I own today.
That's 50 years in Corvairs and still counting!
I'm 72 and wondering where the time went.
Fifty years waiting for the big one...
and now it is here!

Well I guess the third times a charm. Thanks to everyone who voted for my car, and thanks to those who voted period.
I wish I could tell you how nice it feels to be recognized by your peers. I'm truly grateful. Now I can sit back and relax and watch the guys battle it out for COM for July! :ty:
