Heater help needed

Post by Sakubyrd »

I am working on my son's 61 Monza and discovered that the hose from the engine to the blower fan (left side) was shot. I can see where the hose connects at the engine, I just have no idea where it connects to the blower or how to access the blower. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

:welcome2:  :welcome: Again, welcome to the Corvair Forum!

The heater section you need starts on page 11-28 of the attached 1961 Corvair Shop Manual section. The document is in Adobe Reader (.pdf) format, and should help you.

I have also attached a copy of a Chevrolet service bulletin that covers dealing with engine fumes and odors, which is sometimes a problem with the forced air Corvair heater system.

If you need parts, the heater section of the Clark's Corvair Parts online catalog begins on page 101 and continues through page 105...
