New wheels on my Spyder

Post by 72BBNova »

I've been busy the last couple month's. I did a 5 lug conversion, disc brakes and 15" wheels. The rims are 15x6 with 205/60/15 tires. I have a little rubbing issue up front that I need to look into but it's not bad. Here's some before and after picture's.

Nice rims. It is amazing how big of a difference good locking rims can make on a car.

I still have them along with the Spyder wheel covers. You need these on yours in silver, hint hint ::-):

:tu: :tu: :tu: Those would look great with that Palomar red.

Hmm. Not sure I want to make that big a step yet. Like to stay a bit more period. Right now I have the dog dish monza covers but have been thinking that wire wheel covers would look good.

Although. Those do look pretty amazing.

Rev Wheels. I was told they come out of the same factory as the American Racing TTII. I can't tell them apart, even the caps are the same.

I bought 15" true wire wheels from Coker with 24.5" over all diameter, installed and balanced red line tires. I don't have them on yet and I hope that I will not have rubbing issues. Your car looks great.

Oh my word, that is one awesome looking car and the colour is just amazing :tu: , I'm partially colour blind and depending on the prevailing natural light the colour hew can change in my vision, what is that colour? it REALLY works for the car. Like those wheels but must admit the wire wheels are more period correct. But hey it's your car and that is what counts, what you like. Technical question, by how much has your RPM come down in 3rd gear on the open road? and maybe you should post a thread on upgrading the lug pattern from 4 to 5, another mod I would like to do when I upgrade to 15' wheels. :coolphotos:
