Difference between Cardboard Package Area Panels

Post by dagdal1967 »

:helpsos:

I'm getting ready to do a rather large Clark's order and one thing that I want to order is a replacement cardboard for the package area.

Looking at Clarks...

http://www.corvair.com/user-cgi/catalog ... N&page=285" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I see that there are Vinyl covered and Standard cardboard. (I'd probably go with the Vinyl covered) but I also see that they mention one WITH "Insulation".
I'm not sure what that means. Is that the old sound proofing/firewall insulation that they used to put in cars? How do I know if I have it now or not, and if I order a replacement, do I need to order one with Insulation? (I've got a 64 Monza 900 Club Coupe)

I've also seen some people have created shelves out of plywood or chip-board. I'm pretty handy with power tools... Is that something you'd suggest over getting the replacements from clarks?

Thanks in advance.

I bought the cardboard one, it didn't fit perfectly, buts close. The insulation is Matting/batting. I like it a lot. I put speaker boxes in ther.
