Air flow on engine

I do not have a heater on my 61 Monza but the hot air ducts that feed the heater box are on the front(?) of the engine. Should I block or cap these to support proper air flow over the cylinders or is it OK for the air to freely go out the front and the back of the engine?

It might be a good idea to cap those heater duct outlets . The factory capped them in heater delete cars .
It should be easy to rig something up.

Thanks kevin. I'll get right on that. Don't want to burn anything up.

Is that a small hole cut in the flashing on that bottom picture? If so then please 'splain it. Do those rear cylinders get hot if the air flows the other way?
