60 700 coupe ready for the season

Post by 60vair »

Have the coupe back on the road. Removed motor this winter and completely resealed and detailed. Removed both bumpers and repaired lower half of body. Repaired rust hole at fuel filler door and painted hood and top of fenders. Also replaced front floors.

We also have the gas heater working finally after driving the car for 3 years. Most of the car has original paint still.

Looking good and glad to hear you're back on the road.

I hope to have mine on the road in about a week. I don't have a heater and it's still pretty chilly up here. It hasn't been 50 degrees here since last September and there's still a little snow in the shady spots in my yard.

It was still snowing as recently as Monday. :td:

Nice Work, from one 60' 700 2 Door Coupe owner to another :tu:! Our's was originally a Michigan car sold in Lansing at Bud Kouts Chevrolet! Luckly it has been here in Northern California in a garage away from the winter seasons the past 49 years! Not sure if your a bodyman by trade or just handy but that sure is some quality work !

Should Be Good for Another 25 Years :not worthy:.....

My brother in law is the one that did the body work, I just applied the paint from a rattle can.
I don't have the patience to do body work, I have been a mechanic all my life.
