Mismatched(?) Parts

Hey all,

I recently rebuilt both carbs, the choke, and the distributor on my 1960 four-door, and it looks like the distributor is for a Powerglide car. The engine block also is from a Powerglide car. The thing is, mine is the standard three-speed. This makes me think the engine was swapped at some point. My question is: does it matter if the distributor (or even engine for that matter) is for a Powerglide or a manual car? Can I just adjust it to the specs for a manual? There are a lot of numbers to sift through and it's a bit confusing. Thanks.
