I was just playing around in my garage the other day and bolted a 9.5 wide rear wheel from my BMW onto my Corvair. Surprisingly, it looked like it would work.
So that got me thinking...what's the widest rear wheel anyone is running on the rear of a street-driven LM?

Re: Widest rear wheel on an LM
I use a 10x15 wheel made by Diamond Wheels on my 67 when I autocross; the tire is a Hoosier A6, size is 275-35/15. Backspacing is 5", I only had to roll the inner fender lip to make it work. Car has HD springs in the rear, cut one coil. It's low; the Mustang guys in my class refer to it as "the slot car".
I don't drive on the Hoosiers to the autocross, instead I have some 15x7 Z28 wheels/tires that I drive use to drive to the event. The Hoosiers are too expensive to wear out driving them on the street.
