Looking for a free ride!

Post by junkyardkustoms »

I'm not sure where to post this, but I'm looking for someone in the Vacaville/Fairfield, CA area that has a LM Corvair (preferably 140/4spd) that might offer a joy ride. I have a '65 140/PG, but am curious how much difference the 4spd makes. I've always liked the Corvair, but I'm a little disappointed with the PG.

If you're ever in Phoenix...

I've got both 140 types and when I'm tired and expect heavy traffic I take the PG. Otherwise, the 4-speed is always my choice.

I prefer a manual shift almost always. I rented a car in Germany recently and was please I could rent a stick shift. My car was a dog on the autobahn but it was still fun.

I was there around the end of March, but who knows the next time we'll be down there. But when I am, I'll probably take you up on that offer.

Hey I live in Vacaville, just about finished with my 67 with a 140 and 4 speed. I'll let you know when it's done. (Definitely within the next 3-4 weeks)
