Can some provide some insight in the installation of window "fuzzies" on a late model coupe? I know there is a small screw at the end, and they are held in place by clips, but what are steps in their removal and install?
Thanks

Re: Window Fuzzies
Roll down the windows. Get a flash lite and scour the fuzzies to find the small screws. These are usually at the ends of the door nearest the door latch. Usually a phillips screw driver will work, but have a magnet handy, as the screws like to take off.
Next grab a good needle nose pliers. After the screws are out, start at one end and pull a little on the fuzzie strip. This will lead to a clip pushed into the door frame. Use the pliers near the clip, pull up. Repeat along the strip. Then move to the next remaining strip.
Use the old ones to make sure the new replacements are the right length, and as a guide to where those little screws should go.
In the installation, use a sharp pointed tool to locate the small screw holes in the door frames. Start at one end, install a screw, then use the needle nose pliers to push the new clips in to the door frame.
If you take your time, the new strips will still be strait when your done. If you hurry, they will have ripples.

Re: Window Fuzzies

I am getting ready to do this (just waiting for my order to arrive). Been looking through the assembly manual but somehow your instructions seem a lot easier.

Sadly, my 1966 Corvair Monza in Los Angeles is no more.
