New to the forum

Post by junnyquest »

Hello from Northern Michigan! I've owned my '64 Spyder Coupe since June 2001 and although I've been enjoying the car all these years, I've never joined a club or forum. Car is black/black w/Kelsey-Hayes wheels. Has 180 HP carb and turbo, wrapped exhaust, short throw shifter, 3.27 gears, etc. Nice seasonal DD quality CA black plate car restored 33K miles ago. I've put on about 5K of those miles in the past 12 years, but she's rarely been driven for the past 4-5 years. Hoping to change that this season!

:welcome: Welcome to the Corvair Forum!
Your Corvair sounds very impressive. I hope you will post some pictures of your Corvair! Your description has me all excited and anxious to see it!

I would like to invite you to take a look at the Corvair of the Month section. :link: viewforum.php?f=15 You will find some great Corvairs among the current month contest entrants, and some very nice entrees in the April contest too. Perhaps you will post your own Corvair entree in April or May? And once you have posted three times on the Corvair Forum you can also vote to express your opinion.

Cool look forward to those pics. Got any extra Kelsey Hayes parts? I'm looking for right side adapters and knockoffs. I have other parts to trade.

Thanks for the friendly notes. Digital pics will have to wait until the car comes home from storage... but I have to tell you, reading and seeing pics here on the site has certainly gotten the old Corvair juices flowing. Can't wait for Spring!

1st one - 65 Monza Vert with power top and 110 with a 4 spd. Was a bit dilapidated but fun, 2nd was a 1965 Corvair Monza Convertible. PG - 1960 or 61 or 63 80 hp engine - we think...

Thank you! While not original to this particular Corvair, these K-H wires have been on the car for nearly 25 years and still run true. The set includes a 5th spare and an extra knockoff spinner (up front).
