If you include pictures of the VIN tag (next to the battery) and Body Tag (near the distributor) I will decode them for you to provide you with some original production data.

The Corvair-related links you will find at this thread will provide you with some useful material in support of your Corvair...

I will be happy to post them. I store the car at my family garage. Today is pouring rain so I doubt I'll get over there. But I will try. It would be interesting to know more about the origin of my car. So far I know it was assembled at the LA plant. Thats about it though.
Side note, I live in a small town called Hartland. Its about 30 miles west of Milwaukee.

Re: Hello from Wisconsin
Also, some background info... I'm 30 years old and was brought up in a family of classic Chevrolet cars and trucks. I've been working on cars since I was about 12 thanks to my father. I attended community college in the GM-ASEP technician program but never finished due to personal decisions. I decided cars were more of a hobby than a career choice. So I have some technical background.
As far as my car:

Nice looking car there! There's the Milwaukee Corvair or the Madison club by you if you didn't already know. Also - there's a corvair show that hosted by Milwaukee Corvair club and the Chicago Corvair Enthusiast club have every year that is this Saturday at the Volo Auto museum in Volo, IL (about 70 miles from your town). It's a good time with about 35-45 Corvairs typically - plus you get cheap admission to check out the museum after! Lots of helpful people. Its 10-4 with registration starting at 10. Here's a link http://www.milwaukeecorvairclub.org/events.html I'll have mine out there if all goes well. Hope you can make the show!
1st one - 65 Monza Vert with power top and 110 with a 4 spd. Was a bit dilapidated but fun, 2nd was a 1965 Corvair Monza Convertible. PG - 1960 or 61 or 63 80 hp engine - we think...

Well happy birthday! Sounds like you got a nice present for yourself too. I'm turning the big 4-0 at the end of this month. Time flies... don't try to catch it it just keeps moving faster!
