I look forward to the wealth on knowledge on this forum.. My husband is an excellent mechanic and I will be right there getting dirty with him.. every time an engine piece shows up I get more and more excited..
Re: New to group
Welcome to the group. There are a few husband and wife "teams" out there restoring Corvairs. Always nice to see couples involved in the hobby.

Re: New to group

I would like to suggest that you start a new thread on the Corvair Forum in the section entitled Member's Rides, Projects, and Builds. Perhaps you could start out with a brief Corvair-related biography that describes you and your husband's mechanical background and knowledge, and your interest in Corvairs and how that interest developed. You can also post some photographs that shows your existing Corvair and describe your goals and objectives in restoring the car.
Such detail and information will help members of the Corvair Forum to better-understand your background and experience. That helps us to tailor our comments and recommendations to better-fit your needs. Detailed photographs of your Corvair will also help to make more-meaningful recommendations and comments. By the way, where are you located?
Good luck with your project and I hope that you will keep in touch.

Welcome to the group!
My wife is a helper and sometimes a pusher when working on our Corvairs. Some of our first dates involved Lions Drag Strip in Long Beach California. She would help in the pits!

Thanks for all the welcomes!
I live in Parker Colorado.. actually closer to Elizabeth... my first car was a 64 Corvair, 4 door coupe.. I had a lot of great times in that car.. my mom had one too.. so I have been in love with the car my entire life and my dream was to have a convertible .. now I do .. I bought it 3 years ago and due to employment issues I am just now getting to start the project.
In my mind it is completed haha.. gonna be a long time before that happens.,., just want to get it road worthy right now .. then worry about the body work and paint.. my goal is to have it ready by spring for my first topless experience,,. gonna have to be spring since I need a whole new top for it , I will post pics as soon as I figure out where I filed the darn things..
