My father always loved Scandinavian Design, and we still own Danish Modern furniture that he purchased back in the 1960s. Obviously tasteful, creative design also comes from Norway, and its application works well with 1960s vintage Corvairs!

Just wondering...
I have a 61 Corvair with a 150hp 2.7 from a '64 Spyder, 4 speed, 3.55:1 comp.
What is the most popular mods on these for more power?
I'm positive that my engine has been tuned one way or another because its damn fast, but don't know much about it since I haven't had it apart and the guy I bought it from didn't seem to know a lot about it.
Thanks for the kind wordsbbodie52 wrote:NorwayCorvair wrote:More power in a 150hp Turbo

The result is something we have not seen before. It defines originality and probably inspires many here on the Forum to try to emulate your work in some way. Corvairs have been around for over fifty years, and in all that time there have been millions of owners and many thousands of people customizing them for decades. With all of that going on it is pretty hard to be original and innovative. Yet you seem to have accomplished just that! You have proven that it is still possible to be original. That alone can inspire others. And the outcome is exciting, yet your questions about the engine and how to customize it show that you are still on the learning trail too.

There are a number of Corvair Forum members who have done a lot of custom work with turbocharged Corvair engines, using fuel injection, Weber carburetors, turbocharger modifications, a variety of detonation control techniques, etc. Hopefully you will receive some useful suggestions for your EM masterpiece. It might help, though, if you can describe your expected uses for driving this car, since any recommendations for modifications should target your specific intentions and driving style. It would be fun to be able to contribute in some way to your project.

Thank you very much for the nice comment about my Vairgbarron wrote:Your vision and hard work has resulted in nothing less than a stunning work of art! Too bad the car can't make it to the CORSA convention in Tacoma this month!
I can only imagine the attention your car would receive in Norway...a beautiful car for a beautiful Country! I spent some time in Oslo a few years back, loved the city and scenery. I know what you mean about things being cheaper in Sweden...and by all accounts Sweden is expensive compared to other countries in Europe! Out of my 3 weeks in Scandinavia, Stockholm, Helsinki, & Oslo were highlights I won't soon forget!
Keep those builds coming!
