:goodpost: I absolutely agree 100%!

My father always loved Scandinavian Design, and we still own Danish Modern furniture that he purchased back in the 1960s. Obviously tasteful, creative design also comes from Norway, and its application works well with 1960s vintage Corvairs!

Just wondering...

I have a 61 Corvair with a 150hp 2.7 from a '64 Spyder, 4 speed, 3.55:1 comp.
What is the most popular mods on these for more power?

I'm positive that my engine has been tuned one way or another because its damn fast, but don't know much about it since I haven't had it apart and the guy I bought it from didn't seem to know a lot about it.
:not worthy: You provided the creativity and imagination. You built the car. You took the pictures...

The result is something we have not seen before. It defines originality and probably inspires many here on the Forum to try to emulate your work in some way. Corvairs have been around for over fifty years, and in all that time there have been millions of owners and many thousands of people customizing them for decades. With all of that going on it is pretty hard to be original and innovative. Yet you seem to have accomplished just that! You have proven that it is still possible to be original. That alone can inspire others. And the outcome is exciting, yet your questions about the engine and how to customize it show that you are still on the learning trail too.

As hentysnr said..."Please do not stop now!"

 There are a number of Corvair Forum members who have done a lot of custom work with turbocharged Corvair engines, using fuel injection, Weber carburetors, turbocharger modifications, a variety of detonation control techniques, etc. Hopefully you will receive some useful suggestions for your EM masterpiece. It might help, though, if you can describe your expected uses for driving this car, since any recommendations for modifications should target your specific intentions and driving style. It would be fun to be able to contribute in some way to your project.

Thanks for the kind words :tu: .
Started with an idea in my head and its very close to be my vision now  .
This is my first Corvair and Corvair build and i need to say i enjoy it very much :chevy:
Get so much feedback both here in Norway and thruout the internet on here and different sites, its not why i built it but its nice to get feedback on a car that has taken a crazy amount of hours the eight months the project was going on. Well its not finished (a car never gets finished in my mind) but now its happy hours in the garage making small adjustments and make more updates on it :not worthy:

Well, the car was only meant to be built for having a cool daily driver in the summer time, but as you may know i went a little on the side from the plan
But gonna use it as a fun driver that will get plenty of roadtime and maybe try some trackdays just for the heck of it :tu:

So this weekend i loaded the trailer with an old Audi project that has been sitting for three years.
As you may know i like almost everything car related, but american cars is what is in my heart.
Well i never got the time to start on the early 70s Audi so i found out it was better to give it a new home and posted an ad on the Norwegian answer to Craigslist.
Long story short i sold the car and for some cash i delivered the car to the new owner 370 miles away close to the Swedish border.
Around 940 miles on the road back and forth and included a trip to Sweden to buy everything from soda to candy (half price in Sweden......).
Well, the trip got a little Corvair related also, i have not been so pleased with the seats that i have taken from a 60's Opel Rekord so i got a hold of some new Cobra seats with blue stitching for the Vair.
Now the next plan is to mount them in the car

Im gonna modify the seat mounts that are on them and maybe do some changes to the headrest, need to see how the seats look in the Vair first though

Hope they fit...the style of them fits your theme:)

Your vision and hard work has resulted in nothing less than a stunning work of art! Too bad the car can't make it to the CORSA convention in Tacoma this month!

I can only imagine the attention your car would receive in Norway...a beautiful car for a beautiful Country! I spent some time in Oslo a few years back, loved the city and scenery. I know what you mean about things being cheaper in Sweden...and by all accounts Sweden is expensive compared to other countries in Europe! Out of my 3 weeks in Scandinavia, Stockholm, Helsinki, & Oslo were highlights I won't soon forget!

Keep those builds coming!

Thank you very much for the nice comment about my Vair :tu:

I live around 6.5 hour drive from Oslo, drive out from Oslo and up the country then you have really scenery.
I live about 40 minutes from what is called Top #3 Roads You Have to Drive in Your Lifetime and about an hour from number #19
http://twistedsifter.com/2013/03/roads- ... e-you-die/

And yes you will get pictures of my Vair in these places this summer

Talking about prices in Norway vs Sweden....
A new Camaro cost $47,840 in Sweden. Wanna guess the price in Norway?....well it costs $240,000 (yes that amount is correct! and thats for a 6.2 SS)
A gallon of fuel cost right over $10.00
We have the second most expensive Big Mac burger going for over $8 dollars for only the burger.
U.S. News & World Report has put out a list of the 15 most expensive places to visit, based on things like the price of hotel rooms, food, and other expenses.

And I’ve got some bad news if you’re looking to visit Europe on the cheap: TEN of the 15 most expensive cities are located in Europe.

Oslo, Norway topped the list. Its hotel rooms are a fairly reasonable $169 per night, but other things are astronomically expensive. Something like a bottle of water can cost travelers upwards of $6.

Ahh i need to stop, getting all depressed here :td: .......
I'll post one more picture from the photoshoot insted

:whoa: :puke: With a cost of living like that there has to be another side of the equation to offset those prices! All Norwegians must be impossibly rich! But who from the outside could afford to visit such a costly land?

Don't they build or make anything that is plain or ugly in Norway??? Even a Norwegian pizza must look like a work of art!
