Just bought a Corsa, New to site..Hello!!

Post by lamancha82 »

Sooo, I drove to San Francisco from LA to pick up this 65 Corsa. VIN said it was a 65 turbo coupe built in LA. I think its like 12,1XX built that year. Just trying to figure out what I bought. Always loved Corvair's. Hello All!!

Nice! Welcome! That's pretty much a twin to my car then......except I don't have that telescoping wheel. Everytime I see that corvair decal on the side of the car, it brings back memories of when I was into corvairs the first time, back in the late 80's. She looks pretty solid......was it sitting in garage for a while? And what's the motor in it now?

Thanks guys, its been repainted and had body work done. Overall everything works well including the blinkers and defroster. its been sitting since 99 but it runs ok. I think it has the turbo motor without the turbo's with 2 cabs but I have to investigate as the fan cover say's 110. Never the less I'm going to buy a turbo motor for it.

Nice looking car. I like that CORVAIR stripe. I don't recall ever seeing one of those.

Two years ago, I purchased a 1965 turbo coupe in Evening Orchid that was built in LOS with a body number of 1871. Looks like my car was built 9 cars ahead of yours ! Probably on the same day !
