Custom Early Model

Post by bbodie52 »

 I just saw this posted on Facebook. Never quite seen an EM custom like this, and the wheels are quite different too! What do you think???

I saw it on FB too. Pretty cool looking, not my cup of tea, but someone put a lot of work into that. Wonder how the wheels were adapted. Also notice how tall the convertible top cover is...like the top won't go all the way down. Wonder if they modified the parcel shelf for speakers/subwoofer?

I like the color combo and the style of wheel is OK but to big for an EM IMO. I think earlies look best with 15", LM's can get away with the bigger wheels. Here's a picture of the engine. Jeff

I like it! Would change the rims, but love the rest. Those tail lights are a nice touch with the bumperettes. Would like to see the rest. I dig customs!

Wonder if it is using the original heat. If so there may be some logistical issues with the exhaust. I love the color!

:goodpost: :coolphotos:
That is ONE FASCINATING CUSTOM EARLY MODEL CORVAIR!!!

It just keeps getting better and better with each photograph!
:runwoohoo: :thewave: :omgosh:
Thirty-six pictures in this thread and it still doesn't reveal enough. The rear suspension changes. The door mounts. The engine compartment wiring harness is hidden. The unique exhaust. The custom seats. The more I stare at it, the more I discover and the more I want to know.

I couldn't figure out how they got it that low in the back without a ton of negative camber. The second to the last photo shows what looks like late model rear suspension. :tu:

I concur, it is an exciting looking car.
The only things I don't like is the size of the rims (too big) and not the biggest fan of the interior colour with this paint job. I would do it either much lighter or darker for some nice contrast.

Very nice work, but not my cup of tea either... Not a fan of modern stuff on a classic car.
