Glad to help.

There is a CORSA (Corvair Society of America) club chapter in your area (about 300 miles from my NC location at the western end of the state). If you are not a CORSA member, you might consider checking them out The Corvair Forum is great, but face-to-face contact with other Corvair enthusiasts in your local area can really add to your enjoyment of your Corvair too. Here is a link to their website, if you are interested...

Thanks for the info.
I will be attending the Spring Warm-Up in Myrtle Beach SC in early March and hope to meet Corvair owners there and pick their brain.
I have always been intrigued by these cars since my high school days in the mid sixties but never have owned one. I'm now in the process of educating myself about them and hopefully take the plunge and purchase one. I would like to find one with A/C and in excellent condition. I just missed one in the Wichita, Kansas Craigslist that seemed pretty nice.

I actually did start with Corvairs in my high school days in the 1960s, and rebuilt my first Corvair engine and automatic transmission during my summer vacation in San Jose, California in 1969 (I was 16). I remained a Corvair owner from that point until the early 1990s when I was getting ready for a career path change when I retired from the Air Force in 1996. I foolishly sold my 1965 Corsa convertible then, and went without a Corvair in my family for the first time since 1961, until I bought my current 1966 Corsa in 2012.

Air conditioned Corvairs are pretty rare. You can learn more about them at this website...
