Cold Air Intake
I've been contemplation on fabricating a cold air intake on a 110. Using 2 cone filters, piping and some aluminum sheeting. Placing the cone filters up to the holes coming into the engine compartment from the air vent on top in front of the hood. what are some ideas? would this restrict cooling the engine blocking those holes, making it run hotter? Add better performance not breathing in as such hot air as inside airbreather??

Hi Stephan, here is my setup. Velocity stacks.

I've thought about those as well. But would putting 2 cone filters 1 on each side in the opening into the engine bay from air vent and forming aluminum around them to enclose it to stay cooler cause the engine to run hotter?

I wouldn't block 2 of the intake openings, just tee the carbs together and draw air through one. I doubt the engine would notice though, you have to remember that the fan is always drawing cool air in there any time it's running anyway.

Hi Stephan, if you want to run cooler install water and alcohol injection system. I'm having one built by Snow Performance for mine.
These vents are being installed on mine and will be eventually electrically operated and will be based on temperature.
This is my ariginal carb setup, worked great.
