What is the problem today?

Post by flamingchariots »

What is the problem today?

I have been getting this message when clicking on a topic:

Too Many Requests

The user has sent too many requests in a given amount of time.

429

Few users online except for 1000+ "guests"...

Somebody woke up the bots apparently.

My posting disappeared when I tried to preview it, too.

Feels like this site is infected with something.

I thought it was only me. I have had similar problems also. Lets hope that it is an easy fix.

I banned a few more countries from access.
And I hired a new tech person to keep the site up to date for me. So that was also done today.

Funny thing is, that I never had to re-log in.
Just had to patiently refresh the topic until it took hold.

I am wondering if these Blue pop-up tags aren't connected to the problem. i assume everyone is seeing the same tags.

I haven't seen any ads at all. Ever. But I have AdBlock running on this site.

NO I do not see pop up tags. That call is from inside the house. I mean inside your computer. You got a small "virus" that needs to be eradicated with one of those free programs like Adaware. :tu: Run several of them.

Thanks, but I've scanned my computer for malware and found nothing. I frequent one other forum on a regular basis and the tags only appear here.
