EM rear coil springs
EM rear coil springs
Hey all, I have been looking for rear coils springs for my 62. I found 2 styles on clarks, and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with either or both styles. The part numbers I'm looking at are...
C3026R - stock
C3926R - heavy duty, will not lower the vehicle
If anyone has any knowledge on how good or bad either of these spring are I would appreciate any help. Thanks In advance.

Re: EM rear coil springs
I don't have any personal experience with the clarks springs but did your car have the HD suspension package? It would have a front sway bar and limiting straps on the rear suspension.

It does not have a front sway bar and when I took thebrear apart I don't recall it having limiting straps.
Re: EM rear coil springs
A friend had a 62 Spyder with the HD suspension the rear straps had rotted off but the loops they mounted to were still on the crossmember and lower control arms. Unless you are wanting a firmer, more sporty ride I think I would go for the stock setup.

The car was my dad's and I'm just looking to make it good again and not ha e the rear sag anymore.
Re: EM rear coil springs
I have a brand new, unused, pair of Clarks springs, P/N C3026R. You can have them for the same price of Clarks except I'll pay the shipping. See Photo'

Re: EM rear coil springs
After years the original rear springs sag. New original style will correct that, you don't need HD springs unless you want a stiffer ride.
The front springs barely lower with age, and they were high when new for trunk load rating. I usually just replace the rears with original and car sits level... Just me.
