How hard is it to find a sheet metal reproduction/nos of this panel?

Call the Corvair Ranch. They probably have a used one. NOS and repro are non existent.

That panel seems to either rust out, or get bent in a fender bender.

Check with Calif. Corvair as their sheet metal is usually in better shape being in the West.

I saw a bunch of used ones already off the vans at the Corvair Ranch last year so they probably still have some.
IF they took the time to remove them, they were probably in fairly decent condition.

Joel, I don't really wish to contradict you but....according to the Clark's catalog, they do offer these as Fiberglass replacements but they are not inexpensive. http://ssl.corvair.com/user-cgi/catalog ... w_page=191

Driver's Side: Part number C7230: VAN LEFT FT LOWER CORNER-FIBERGLASS Only $200.05 each.
Passenger's Side: Part number C7231: VAN RT FT LOWER CORNER-FIBERGLASS Only $200.05 each.

No problem. I don't pay any attention to "replacement" body panels that aren't steel.

X2!
Steve is Great to work with! He just helped with a complete rear door header for one of my GBs. His packaging and shipping (mine was via UPS) are surprisingly reasonable.
