A new look!

Post by gbullman »

I’ve always wanted to personalize a car a bit and finally pulled it off with my 66 Corsa. As I completed the suspension work (springs and shock) at each corner I put new wheels and tires on. Yesterday I got it aligned (may have to revisit that but good enough to drive for now) and today I finished up putting on the wheel trim. Photos show the progression of the car and wheels.

Looks Good! I like the T/A Radial 70's look.

What size tires did you use? Are they the same front and rear?

Those wheels look good on your car. Yours reminds me of the 65 Corsa convertible I had in high school. Close to that color (mine was a repaint over the original light purple). Mine also had highlights sprayed along the body creases, that was one of the styles back then. Dennis

I went with 215/60 R14 tires all around. I played with various combos using this site; https://tiresize.com/calculator/

I did consider staggering tire sizes but glad I went with same all around.

I’m really happy with the way it all came out. Really looking forward to next season now. Hopefully we’ll get a few more outings in before they start treating the roads.
