ACC Code on 62 Monza

Post by gregger59 »

Good morning and happy Labor Day weekend,

I am looking at a 62 Monza convertible whose Fisher tag is pretty readable to me, thanks to the GM Heritage Center Guide found here for 1962.

However I am apparently not looking in the right place for Accessory info; the page at the back of the guide does not show any letter codes.

The plate reads: ACC ADHL + 10 (I think it's a plus sign; a little blurry under the paint...could be a dash.)

Any thoughts? Thank you in advance!

P.S. The paint code, 923-5, matches the color on the car (Roman Red), although I don't know what the "-5" means...

Thanks again.

Ha. As often happens, I ask a question and then keep digging to find the answer! Anyway, after finding mostly broken links to Corvair Gold, I did find a good one and downloaded the .pdf of this incredible guide to

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cm8reltt5ztsn2r/qiV5kD-NmO

And there, behold...

A - Direct air heater
D - Spyder
H - Padded dash
L-1 Convertible Top, White
O - Manual trans (I had thought it was a zero)

and the -5 after the Roman Red paint code indicates Red Interior Paint.

FYI and thanks for reading. Happy holiday.
