Tire fitment gage
Picked up a fitment gage form Summit when I was ready to look at tires and wheels. Percy's Wheel Right. You can set it for backspacing, diameter, width and tire profile. Since I'm a little slower than most it took me a few minutes longer but was fairly simple to use. Get it set up on your choice and ...

first and mabe last
After checking closer, the small leak turned out to be a failed head gasket. Not bad, leaking a little around the gasket at a cooling passage, but enough to put some coolant in the pan. Pulled the intake and heads and had the heads checked and planed. Decided it would probably be smart to go ahead ...

Re: 1st and mabe last
The weather finally cooperated last Friday and got the 65 out for a short run. Went into town to check speedo calibration and get a tank of fuel. Ran good and really liked the feel of the new tires. Do have a couple of small leaks to take care of and I'm waiting for parts (should be in tomorrow ...

Re: 65 quarter window adjustment
Thanks UNSAFE. I can get the window adjusted forward till the front glass is parallel andhas good contact with the rear seal. Then the problem is that the window lacks about 1/2" of going up enough to contact the w/strip in the front but the rear is up fine ??

65 quarter window adjustment
Does anyone out there have an answer on how to adjust a quarter window ? I had all my glass out to apply insulation and new fuzzies and one quarter window refuses to adjust correctly. Currently if I get it adjusted far enough forward, it lacks 1/2 inch of contacting the w/strip. Almost acts like it ...

Well "off" subject---Mopar motor build
My son is rebuilding a 360 ci. Chrysler. Stepped up a bunch on the cam but it's a hydraulic flat tappet. He did spring for new shaft mount roller rockers. That brought up another bunch of questions, #1: where can we go to find custom length cup style pushrods ? Plenty of options for ball end style ...

Re: 1st and mabe last
Sorry, Vapor, I haven't been on much for a bit. The color is a 2009 Corvette special order, Dupont "Atomic Orange, effects". I looked at a number of "burnt orange" possibilities and this was the best in bright sun. Most trended to the red side of orange in bright light and this one is a little more ...

Re: WHERE DO YOU LIVE ?
Currently live in Pike Co., IL., the self proclaimed deer hunting capital of apparently the world. (Can't really tell much about it, most of my hunting is done with my car or truck.) My wife and I have lived here on the family farm for 36 years and don't have any plans to live anywhere else. I ...
