Thanks. Yes the wheels are the same ones. Painted with black Imron. The painter said....I hope you like shiny because it looks like black chrome. The center caps are new from Original parts group, ordered for an EL Camino.

Re: Hello from Pennsylvania!
Congrats on your purchase. Im sure its a deal , without even any pictures.
I to had no idea what a corvair was until my father expected me to work on his new toy one afternoon, just as I graduated tech school. (specializing in GM ..haha). Now I ve come to see what he saw in them.

Re: Iowa Vair
Its back.....Still needing some new fuzzies and weatherstripping. It did turn out a lot nicer than I imagined. It is the first entire car I have had painted. Two years ago John of JTVAIRS turned me onto Jim Rodamaker for the much needed floor and typical body work. I returned to him year later when ...

Iowa Vair
234.jpg Hello again. Dads old car is off the be painted. In my first post I told about "ending" up with this 65 Corsa after my father became unable to drive. Body work was done (the majority) last year. I've driven it some but put off going to any local shows, or unveiling it to my father. I waited ...

Re: Random Guy Poll
Last choice is closest, but I'm the one saying "no, its not a corvette ..close.. Corvair. Mustang and Falcon are a couple of bad names I've been called. What surprises me , driving around, half old paint half primer is the number of comments and questions I get from younger people.. say 20 years old ...

Re: Remove windshield wipers, install Wiper post Bolt Cover
I thought about buying a second cowl piece, welding in some metal , "shaving it". Keeping my original to swap back on, along with wiper transmission for a longer trip or possible rain.

CB Performance black box.
Wanting to keep to a distributor for sure, points and coil for now. From what I have read here the CB Black box would be a good choice. It started out I found the vacuum retard canister bad. Had one been readily available, I probably would have replaced only that and been done with it. Trying to ...

State Farm here also. Dropped my 2004 Pontiac Van and insured Corvair for same price, etc in place of it.. I threw out 4k as a value, they insured w/o photos. Agent said " If you need more we'll come out and take photos. "
