'65 Corsa out in the sun for the first time in 6 years!

Post by firstgencamarojunkie »

I'd like to introduce myself even though I've made some tech request posts over the last year. I've never owned a Corvair before - always was a Camaro/Corvette kind of guy - but - got tired of the same 'ol thing. I've wanted a Corvair as long as I can remember - and now with the kids out of the house and the wife's approval, I've been working on this '65 Corsa. I've done most everything - paint / engine / suspension / brakes / interior (except for the seats). Haven't had this much fun in quite some time. Even though she's not licenced or insured, took her around the block for the first time since I got her. I've attached some pics. Looking forward to finishing and getting her on the road proper!

Andy.

Awesome, looking great!

I'm trying to work over the winters and drive over the summers (in Michigan) - Hope to burn fuel again in the next 30 days...

I need the summers to keep me going through the winter!

Good luck with your project!

Out in the sun ? That is the sun on 4 wheels !!
Wife once said if I bring a yellow car home shes leaving me.
But seriously.. I like it, Maybe break that up some with stripes or something, myself.
Say what are the yellow lights in the high beam spot ? , I've seen that before but need educated. Digging those to.

I've seen a couple of photos w/ cars - not just corvairs - with the yellow high beams - and just thought they looked cool - plus they accent the yellow paint.
