64 corvair blown

Hey guys, I had a head gasket blow out on my 64 monza pg. I tore the engine down and found it has 95 hp block, 110 hp heads .030 L2206 pistons and has copper head and cylinder gaskets. The cylinder gasket/shim is 0.010". Is there any advantage for this set up. What else could be done to it to get ...

transmission swap

Just been pondering. I have found a 4 speed donor car, What all would be involved to swap my pg out for a 4 speed? Would it be more trouble than it would be worth? Has anyone on here ever done it?

Re: EM PG slipping

The modulator is getting full vacuum, and I did refill it after the modulator, and the fluid does not look or smell burnt. I moved the passing gear linkage both directions and had no affect on it at all.

Re: How did you get into Corvairs?

Well when I was little, my grandad had a 64 Coupe parked in his pasture field. I would always stop and drool  and even climb in even though she was rotting in the ground; dodging the snakes and wasp. Well years later I went with my dad to pick up a 65 Mustang Fastback he bought. I got to ...
