If you really must have a Group 53 battery they are getting harder and harder to find. Last one I tried to find was about 5 years ago and it took a bit, got it from an industrial supplier (they are used in som fork trucks) but the battery did not have super CCA (cold cranking amp) ratings, it seemed to work fine however.
For a non Concourse car I would use a current narrow battery as used in many Hondas etc. Measure and get the largest CCA that will fit the space with the + and - posts in the right orientation:)

I have a Honda Civic battery in mine. Its a little smaller lenght ways but works fine.
