Here's most of what I have in my Monza GT file. Looks like it's had a few different sets of wheels over the years and somewhere along the way someone "Cheated" by replacing the 4 carbs with a turbo.
Here's some vintage footage including a Corvair pace car --

Great Video Kevin.
I noticed there aren't very many pictures of the red convertible one. Does that one still exist? I like it better.

Re: Experimental Corvair Monza GT - Video
The red car is the Monza SS and was built around the same time as the Monza GT. It went thru a few changes over the years. Most notable are the headlights and the roll bar.
There was also an Astro I that was more modern looking.
Yea - I like the red one better too , the headlights on the GT are downright ugly when open.
Stay tuned for a slideshow featuring the SS and Astro I in the near future.

Well, that's a good reason to not have it in the Monza GT video, it's a Monza SS.
Yeah it seems those headlights when open would defeat the aerodynamics of the car, and they are ugly too.
Thanks for the vids Kev. AWESOME!
Yeah Gary they do look like the Speed Racer cars.
Speed Racer drove a Corvair?!
