Re: Corvair of the Month February 2010
1967 Corvair Monza Coupe. Automatic. Bolero red. 110 engine. Restored in 2009. All the exterior trim has been replaced with NOS or repro parts. Front and rear bumpers have been rechromed. The exhaust system is the ultimate exhaust from Clark's Corvair. The interior is all original except for new carpet and mats and reupholstered driver's seat. Front disc brakes have been added and 14" American Racing Torq Thrust chrome wheels. Steering wheel is a new Grant mahogany wood wheel. Also the aluminum headlight bezels have been chrome plated. New carbs and red powdercoated fan. I hand painted a Rat Fink face on the chrome oil filter cover using one shot paints. Many of the engine components have also been chrome plated.

Re: Corvair of the Month February 2010
my 66 monza 140 convertible. I got the car when i was 10 (8 yrs ago), painted but not running and completely torn apart. I have disassembled and repainted all the suspension and shrouding, installed/redid the interior, rebuilt the motor, and dressed it up with factory options. I have entered it in 29 shows since i got it running. Car is completely stock except for wheels, exhaust, and color. I have installrd: telescoping column w/wood wheel, factory AM/FM, luggage rack, engine and trunk lights, spare tire lock, factory quick steering box and arms, door edge guards, and bumper guards, to name a few.

Here's the start of the restoration of my 64 Rampside. I call him Rags, the rat rod Rampside. His song is to the tune of Rudolph, the red nosed reindeer.

Re: Corvair of the Month January 2010
1964 Corvair Spyder... have owned this car since 1972. For many years it was my primary mode of transportation. It is now fully and professionally restored, but still driven enough to keep its joints limber. The restoration was a complete, media blast to bare metal, weld in new metal as needed affair (not much was needed, however... the car has spent it entire life in Florida). The same care has been taken with the engine and drive train: balanced, +.040 forged pistons; NOS carb; axle and trans fully rebuilt, suspension fully rebuilt, and on & on. Some somewhat hidden, non-stock things have been done to enhance performance, i.e.: roller rocker arms, Crane/Allison ignition, quick steering arms. I’m embarrassed to say how many $$$ and time I’m invested in this car. But, this car is a dream to drive—interstate driving is especially fun, as the engine and drive train is silky smooth at speed—and passing is a literal blast! Thanks for looking… Mike Mauro

Re: Corvair of the Month February 2010
Wow, this month is filling up quick.
Well, here's my '65 Corsa. Center mount 4 bbl carb with a sag. 4 spd and 3.27 non posi rear end. Coils have been cut and it's sitting pretty nice. All new rear bushings & bearings & stuff so the car should handle great. It's been a fun project and I can't wait to get some miles on it this year.

Looks to be a lack of Wagons so far.
1962 Monza Wagon Honduras Maroon 102 PG
Car has Factory tinted windows, roof rack, bumper guards, door edge guards, vent shades, child safety locks, seat belts, push button radio, courtesy lights, parking brake warning light, day night mirror, two speed wipers with washer, locking gas cap.
First start up after complete rebuild.
About to get all new brakes
I wanted to add a little before and after. LOL

Re: Corvair of the Month January 2010
Just thought I'd throw in my vintage Stinger clone D Production race car.
It's actually a 1965 Monza from Aridzona with no rust! Never had that experience before.
Ran the Walter Mitty Challenge last year and plan to do it again this year.
Engine is mostly stock and has been very reliable so far.

I forgot to include a motor shot with my original post and I can't see any way of adding another photo to my original post so, I stuck it in here. The moderator can feel free to move it to my original post.
