top cover torque specs and sequence
I'm changing my top cover to a LM bigger bearing, what are the torque specs for the bolts and is there a sequence. I can't find my manuals to look it up. Thanks Jeff

Re: top cover torque specs and sequence
The torque spec for the crankcase cover 5/16-18 bolts is 7-13 ft. lbs. in both the 1961 and 1965 shop manuals. No sequence is specified. Anti-seize compound is recommended.

Re: top cover torque specs and sequence
Thanks Brad your the best. I've been working on this thing all winter and just keep running into small road blocks along the way. I'm hoping to get it going so I can drive it to Knoxville in June. Thanks again Jeff.
