Is there anyone making an adjustable coil-over system for the 'vair, or make one that fits?

1. What is your goal? 2. Are you talking late or early?
I'm not too familiar with the lates since I haven't looked at one but I know you can't do it with an early because the shock is inside the coil spring and there's no room for a coil over, air bag, air shock or anything else for that matter. I did use a twist in spring spreader in the rear springs of my 61 Monza to help with sagging springs until I could replace them and they did allright. I've seen some pretty impressive suspension mods on this forum but they are major equipment changes for drive train mods and usually done on lates.

Im currently coil-overing my 65, as part on my project, and I would say that if you havent the confidence to design and fabricate your own system, rough guess spring rates and trouble shoot the finished setup to get it working properly, then its not worth your time and effort!

Its probably not worth mine either, but if theres two ways of doing something....

What I will say is that theres plenty of geometry tweeks which will benefit a 'vair, beyond any increase in performance that coilovers bring.

For myself, as I am screwing up the whole weight balance of my car, the advantage of off the shelf spring rates and adjustable preload means I can fine tune it back to civility once the car is drivable ;)

Im not one to nay say any idea, but reality check what you want to achieve, and whether coilovers will deliver the correct solutions...

If your car is a stock fast road project, then I would say spend that wad of cash on loads of little improvements which add up to a big enhancement of your driving experience.
