Special Note for Fathers :)

Post by AndyF »

I have a special suggestion for new fathers: if you have a child who doesn’t want to take his or her nap, drop the top and go out for a ride in your Corvair convertible. The sun, wind, radio, and that burbling purr of a flat six gets ‘em every time....

:goodpost: :coolphotos: I can agree with this! My first exposure to a Corvair was in 1961 with our new family Corvair Monza coupe. I was 8, and my sister was 5. On cool evenings in California we used to like to cuddle up close to the heater outlets at the bottom of the rear seat. In 1965 my parents upgraded to a 1965 Corsa convertible, which we loved. We went on camping trips to Lake Tahoe in that car, on trips to the beach in the Santa Cruz area in ghe Corvair, and it was our main family car. I learned to work on cars with that Corvair, and learned to drive and took my first driver's test in San Jose in that Corvair. I was married and went on my honeymoon in a 1962 Corvair Monza, and my parents passed the 1965 Corsa convertible on to me when i joined the Air Force. Two of our three children came home from the hospital in that same 1965 Corsa convertible, and we took it to Germany and explored parts of Europe in our two Corvair Corsas (coupe and convertible).

So Corvairs do have a positive impact on children! ::-):

You can see the impact a Corvair had on Kaylee (the March 2014 COTM winner)...

Daddy knows best!
