Heart of Texas 2014 First show 3rd place

I gave my 61 Monza its "trial by fire" this weekend with a drive to the 18th annual Heart Of Texas Corvair reunion in Johnson City, Tx. There were several clubs there including San Antonio (sponsor), Dallas, Austin, and Corvair Houston (our club), and a club from Oklahoma City, and about 50 cars. The weekend was great fun and I even won 3rd place on the early closed class. The trophies made by someone in the San Antonio Corvair club were unique and hand made from Corvair parts, and were all really awesome. Only bad was about 35 miles from home I think I blew out a pressure plate or something, (not sure until I get in there). Here are some of the group shots.

Great looking car! Wish I could have attended. I really like the wheels. Such a classic look.
