A few weeks ago I got a call from a Corvair fan, asking: Isn't it time for a Swedish Corvair Club? My answer was: Absolutely!
We have now been in contact with about 20 Swedish Corvair owners who agree and decided to have a first meet at Brostugan in the western part of Stockholm (see http://www.brostugan.se) on May 18 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Welcome!

Re: Swedish Corvair Club

A Swedish Corvair club sounds great. I had no idea that there were as many as 20 Corvair owners in Sweden! Do your plans include becoming a part of CORSA (Corvair Society of America) or a separate, independent Corvair club in Sweden? I know that there are currently CORSA chapters in Canada, France, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, and from time to time I have heard talk about such groups forming in England and South Africa.

I don't know how active these Canadian and European clubs are, how many members they have, or how successful they have been, but I hope your idea of a Swedish Corvair Club proves to be popular and successful. I hope you will keep an active contact with the Corvair Forum. There are many Corvair Forum members from all over the world, and I hope we can hear more from your efforts, and perhaps see some photographs of Swedish Corvairs and their owners in the future. Good luck with your efforts!

Actually, there are 180 Corvairs in the swedish car register as of today. Well, 179 registered as Corvairs, my -65 Corsa Turbo is registered as Chevrolet 10737, the manufacturers designation.
