Vair names?

Post by classicchevyowner7 »

Thought this might be an interesting topic. Have any of you named your vairs? Just got mine three weeks ago. Still working on a name for her...

I never named any of my cars, I feel like it's a girl/woman thing to name your car.

Agreed. Corvair is a cool enough name. :chevy: But to each his own.

My dad and I have them named by their color except my Stepmoms car, that's just Linda's car. :-P

 I only call my Corvair names when it is acting up or when some repair procedure is going badly! :rolling:

Also when I drop a fitting or part and it falls into an "inconvenient" place. :banghead: Then I may call my Corvair several names. Bumping my head or smashing my finger elicits similar names, but there is no consistency. The names vary. :dontknow:

Mine is Vera Miles ... Vera just seemed period and Vera Miles because the first time I saw her in person I drove her from Charlotte NC to Dallas TX.

My dad introduced me to the car naming ritual 40 some years ago with his Cadillac named Bessie. My corvair was named by default, when I uttered something to the effect of "But I want it done NOW" during the restoration process. To which my counterpart said "Hold on, Veruca"...for Veruca Salt, the spoiled brat in Willie Wonka.
