Hello I'm new to the Corvair world this is my very first Corvair its a 1961 Corvair Monza I Drive the car everyday I really really like it. I bought the car I drove it home and after I got home I realized the fuel pump is leaking so I put a Purolator electric fuel pump on it other than that its a hundred percent bone stock and I love driving this thing [

I would like to invite you to expand on your initial post and tell us more about yourself, your Corvair, and your goals for your Corvair. If you can describe your personal assessment of your mechanical skills and abilities, that would help a lot. Members of the Corvair Forum love to be helpful in assisting other Corvair owners with technical support and advice, but it helps a lot if we have some understanding of your technical background and mechanical abilities, Corvair-related knowledge, etc. Helping us to know more about you and your Corvair will help us to write comments to you that are tailored to your needs and experience. Pictures are great too, because pictures of your Corvair will help us to visualize where you are with your Corvair and its condition at the present time. Knowing your location is also useful, because knowing where you live can sometimes suggest possibilities to resolve some issues or problems.

Ive been into and working on cars my whole life mostly. When i was younger i worked at my step dads carlot. I was huge into imports for a long time had many turbo, nitrous civics, built quite a few honda motors and drag raced them for some time. I still build motors and work on them. But since i turned 25 (7 years ago) i broadened my horizon and got into american cars built a nitrous s10 with a small block but sold it when i moved to florida.. now i have a 1987 mustang with a built nitrous 302. I am also restoring a 1966 cutlass with a big block 455. I originally bought the Corvair for my fiance. She wanted in order car that wasnt a boat but got good gas milage. When i gave it to her she hated it ! Lol but it grew on her and now we are driving it away from our wedding to our hunnymoon (april 12) in the keys !! The car will be kept 100 percent stock I'm just doing some preventative maintenance on it and thats it. I'm just so impressed with how it accelerates, how it brakes, how easy the steering is and how nimble that little car is around town
